This webinar will explore masculinities in sport, focusing on how positive expressions of masculinity can foster inclusion, gender equality, and cultural change.

An overview of Men in focus and expansive masculinities will be provided followed by an expert panel from sport programs who focus on the intersection masculinities and prevention of violence.

About this webinar

The session will examine the role of sport in shaping masculinities, the importance of active bystanders, and how intersectional perspectives can create more inclusive sporting environments. This discussion is designed for sports leaders and professionals and will provide practical insights and strategies for driving positive change. 

We will:

  • explore what masculinities are and how it can be harnessed in sport to promote inclusivity and gender equality
  • discuss strategies for fostering active bystanders in sports settings
  • integrate intersectional perspectives to provide a holistic view of masculinity in sport. 

This webinar will be facilitated by Cameron McDonald, Sector Engagement Lead, Our Watch and Ben Brown, former AFL footballer.
