    10 elements to prevent violence through sport

    These elements provide practical and measurable components that support sporting organisations to prevent violence against women. The elements are:

    address the gendered drivers of violence against women

    adopt a whole-of-sport approach

    ensure meaningful involvement of women and girls

    implement appropriate responses to incidents of disrespect and violence against women

    be values driven

    be underpinned by long-term planning, vision and resourcing

    be evidence led

    integrate evaluation from the outset

    consider context, difference and diversity in the sporting organisation and wider community

    work collaboratively to develop and share resources
